The traditional lighting that had been in place in this facility created a maintenance nightmare. Solid state lighting was the solution.
The task of changing the bulbs in the stairwell required the construction of scaffolding that had to be assembled for each bulb change, then repeatedly disassembled, moved, and reassembled until all bulbs were changed.
With their 60,000 hour minimum life, the Cireon York 2-3 Deco's eliminated this, bringing the customer a significant savings and greatly improved lighting distribution to increase safety.
Elsewhere in the facility, the hot spot distribution of the traditional lighting made visitor identification by security surveillance extremely difficult. The wide distribution solid state lighting optics and diffused shields in the York's enhanced the ability of security personnel to identify people in the facility.
